I am horrified by the USA’s use of unmanned drones in conflicts for attack rather than just reconnaissance. Although I feel it is grossly immoral, I am not eloquent enough to express this horror. Help me by describing your revulsion, or your approval of the use of this technology. All submissions are anonymous and we will not ask for, nor collect your email.
Please add your voice to the discussion so that others can learn from you. If you disagree with us, please tell us why you support the inclusion of unmanned attack drones in our military armamentarium. History is being made. The mechanized warfare our ancestors warned us about is here.

Unmanned drones? Who’s the terrorist now?
EXACTLY!!!
Haven’t we always been the terrorist???
I just have to wonder why we still think of ourselves as morally superior to others? How can we feign patriotism when we know we are as ruthless as the next bunch. How can Americans be so unaware of our bleak history of human rights failures? Medical experimentation in Guatemala? Oh, right, Dick Cheney would think that’s OK since it wasn’t on American citizens.
Because we’re number 1!
I hate bleeding hearts. We’re at war with people who hate us. Who cares how we kill them?? Our success will scare anyone else who dares challenge us.
Did you ever stop to think that maybe they might think the same about us?
Who cares what they think?
How many innocent people have been killed with these unmanned drones?? Oops, wrong intelligence! No wonder the Pakistanis hate us-I’d hate any country that sent drones to bomb the citizens of my country–particularly when my country did nothing wrong.
Get real! War is war–kill them any way you can!
Well, if “War is war”, then the moral equivalency sanctions attacks on our country as well. Planes driving into the World Trade Center would be ok, in your opinion.
Planes hitting the Towers wasn’t right but either is US policy in the middle east, which is why all this is happening. Yes, war is war and everyone, even terrorists, have a point of view. What would we have done if a powerful country came and caused havoc in the US. If we were poor and defenseless, we’d probably send guys with boxcutters on planes to crash into their tall buildings.
One of the lessons we learn from actually participating (mano-a-mano) in war is how awful it really is. Sending unmanned airplanes makes war easy, fun, and distant. Why end a war if we’re not getting hurt? Who cares if people out there are killed, injured, displaced, die because of subsequent famine and cholera, are raped, lose their children and parents? War becomes a video game for us all to enjoy.
